Hot dog!

Here`s another great article:

This is a random question but how do owners of thick/long coated pups help them in the summer heat? Our girl is 9.5mo and she has a medium length, double layered, all black coat. She’s a mixed breed but looks basically like a black border collie. We try to keep her out of intense sun and she always has water. We give her ice cubes when she seems super warm. She LOVES to be outside, and I worry about over heating. At night she tends to pant constantly now that the house is warmer, and she struggles to settle down sometimes now. We have AC, but she still pants like crazy anyways! The good news is her crate is downstairs where it’s cooler. We don’t want to shave her down – any advice?
