Here`s another great article:
Hey guys, working with my 9 week old Shiba puppy Goku, he's taken really quick to sit and come (though come is still a bit hit and miss, working on consistency), we're having trouble with shake.
I can get him to sit no problem, though when I try to teach him to shake (by either lifting his paw or reaching around to the back of it) he I guess thinks there might be a treat in that hands and stops sitting and tries to nose into my hand to get the "treat" he thinks I'm putting there. I've tried showing him my hand is completely empty and even tried going real slow, but no matter what I do he just thinks there's a treat there and I can't really get to his paw.
Anyone have any ideas?
