Here`s another great article:
Hey all. I just adopted a rescue from Puerto Rico and picked her up last night. She was a stray found after the storm and is 5 months old. She's pretty frightened and pooped and peed in the apartment this morning. (I took her out last night, but to no avail).
My question is how assertive should I be with her regarding her new life and space? I'm opting for a lighter touch and don't want to scare her, but do want to set up an eating and going potty outside schedule.
Any tips on making her feel welcome and relaxed? I have every possible thing she could need/want in terms of bedding, food and toys.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks
