Still working on the "drop it" command, but…my dog (just under 2 years still) is constantly grabbing things that are not hers. Shoes, mats/rugs, towels – you name it.
We're doing the usual – giving her one of her toys instead of what she grabbed. It's hard to do that though because when she steals something, she is super focused on it and doesn't drop it. We have to use treats which is fine, but the frustrating thing is that she keeps grabbing things.
Any suggestions? Am I pretty much just stuck on reinforcing the drop command? I would like her to not steal things in the first place.
