Here`s another great article:
Our 8-week old female Chow Chow puppy (been in our house for a week) has had great progress with bite inhibition. But she still bites fingers and feet especially when she is over-excited. We think she is just playing around and does not seem to be showing major signs of aggression.
My brother figured out that she stops biting if the person (that she is biting) whines, either due to her confusion or to not hurt the person. After she stops biting the person, we give her a chew toy. If she still is over excited, we put her in her crate for a time out.
However, I read that when a puppy bites, you should lay them on their back and tell them no, as to teach them who is in charge. What is the better method to correct puppy biting?
