Here`s another great article:
My 4 year old catahoula pit mix has always peed on the grass and the brown spots have been especially bad this year.
For this reason we recently spent a few days taking him out on a lead to a specific grassed area to pee and then rewarding him with treats and play time in the yard. Unfortunately I got injured and couldn’t take him out on the lead to the area and started letting him pee wherever again.
One or two weeks passed and we’ve suddenly became aware that he is more often than not now peeing in our gardens instead of the grass.
This obviously must be connected to the small bit of training we started but curious to know people’s input on how he made the jump from the general grass area or designated grass area to now the gardens?
