Here`s another great article:
I have a collie that will be a year old in a few days. He is intact. I’m not sure if that makes a difference here.
For the past 2 weeks, he’s been barking nonstop in the mornings when he hears my wife and I shuffling around upstairs. He is kenneled downstairs in his own room with the door closed and he barks from the time he hears us roll over in bed until the time we turn the door knob whether that’s 2 minutes or 22 minutes.
Prior to this, he would be quiet until he saw one of us and then he’d let out a few excited yips, which we were fine with. For some reason everything has changed in the last two weeks.
My wife and I work evening shift so we go to bed around 2-3 am and wake up at 10 – 11am.
How can I dissuade this behavior?
