Does anyone feel like their puppy doesn’t like them all that much?

Here`s another great article:

About 7 month old Aussie/Pointer mix.

This is my first dog and it feels like sometimes she only really likes me when I have treats or we’re training/being super stimulating. Sometimes she’s more excited to meet strangers than be around us and we’ve tried to make everything so positive and fun.

I’m not sure if it’s just my inexperience or that I took the “your dog will think of you as their world” sentiment too seriously but she seems far less affectionate than my cat (but that little guy is like obsessed, but that’s another thing entirely) which is not really what I would have expected.

Mostly I just want to know if this is normal. Just baby dog brain thing?
