Here`s another great article:
I feed my 9 month old medium sized Pitt/Husky/Lab mix Purina Pro Plan Puppy Lamb and Rice. She is currently about 35 lbs and my vet guessed she would top out at about 45 or less. The feed guideline for that age range is 1 2/3 – 2 cups. My pup is skinny. Not "starving" skinny but I can see her ribs and her hip bones which I don't prefer. My vet said that she was technically a healthy weight but could stand to put on a few pounds. She said to start slowly increasing her food every week until it gets to a point that I can't see her ribs as easily.
Well, I am already at 3 1/3 cups a day plus all of her treats for training and going in her kennel. I can STILL see her ribs. I guess I was wondering if anyone else had this problem? If so, did increasing their food help?
