Crate tips

Here`s another great article:

So my new puppy pretty much came crate trained which I’m so happy about but it’s been two weeks and I’ve noticed he’s gotten the habit of not taking his naps in the crate which he did his first week with us. This only happens when he knows I’m around/in the same room, whenever I’m out and one of my siblings or parents are with him they say he goes right into his crate and they close it and he’s fine, but when I’m around he will not take his naps in there. I have tried a high reward treat and he knows to go in right away and it’ll keep him entertained but once he gets sleeps he wants out I don’t want him to not like his crate so I let him out once he stops crying/whining after a couple of minutes. I’m a little worried this will affect him at night because his crate is in my room. Any tips?
