Here`s another great article:
So I have a 12 week old puppy. She is getting her second round of shots next week but was cleared by the vet after her first round to go for controlled walks since the risk of parvo here is low. We usually have her walk mostly on the paved paths to avoid her getting anything, and she has mostly strolled but the older she is getting, the more energy she has and she is having running spurts of about 10 seconds at a time maybe once or twice a day (I take her out twice a day for 10-15min each time). I try to lead her to the grass when she does that so as to not hurt her joints, but I’m still worried that she is hurting herself. Not sure how to balance disease prevention and this?
