Chasing cars

Here`s another great article:

We have a Catahoula rescue who we’ve only had a few days. I’ve been amazed how quickly she picks things up. After barely a week she’s picked up peeing outside and we’re working on sit.

One problem we’ve had is that when she’s at the dog park she runs along the fence and chases the cars. I guess this makes sense since they’re bred to herd cattle.

So far when a car drives by, I started holding her collar and pointing her snout at me saying “look at me”. When the car passes I give her a treat. I have no experience with car chasing so I don’t know if this is a good idea or not. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
