Best approach to stop scratching at screen

/ by

Here`s another great article:

Our dog constantly wants to scratch at the screening in our porch, generally when she sees one of the comically large number of chipmunks or squirrels inhabiting our yard.

She does usually respond to us saying “ah-ah” and/or being told to go to her bed. But it doesn’t seem to deter her from doing it in the future. And we worry that sometimes she just does it for the attention/chance to get a treat if she stops and goes to her spot as some kind of chain behavior.

Any advice about something additional or different to do here would be much appreciated.
