Aussie freaking out when leaving him home alone

Here`s another great article:

Hi! I have a 9 months old Australian Shepherd and I have a huge problem when leaving him alone in the apartment. As soon as I leave, he freaks out, cries, barks and starts breaking stuff. I’ve tried giving him lots of toys and bones. I have taken big walks before going away and also tried to sneak away when he’s resting. Those things have not helped at all. At this point, I’m scared to leave home because everytime I come back, there’s something broken. He likes to jump on counters and somehow push items down when he’s in that ’freaking out’ moment.

Any advice how to train him to stay calm when I leave him?
