Are we walking our 13 week old Retriever too much?

Here`s another great article:

Baloo is a 13 week old Golden Retriever (1/16th Collie). He’s just had he’s last round of vaccinations and can finally go on real walks which has been great! Our only concern is we may be walking him too much as he is still very young. I’ve seen the 5min per month rule floating around but he is a very high energy dog and even with a lot of training and playing throughout the day he used to clearly need more exercise until we started proper walks. We’ve been walking him 3x a day around 1km each time (plenty of time just sniffing and being curious as opposed to walking non stop). Do you think this is too much for his joints? Please let me know what you all think!
