Here`s another great article:
I adopted my dog about two months ago, she is a year and a half old and a pit bull mix. She plays well with other dogs off-leash and does not have a bite history, but if we run into a dog on our walk she becomes very defensive, lunging and snarling at other dogs. I feel really defeated at this point. Scolding her hasn’t helped, avoidance/crossing the street hasn’t helped and today I was cussed out from across the street and told my dog should be put down. I feel frazzled, I’m not sure what to do. She has some intensive training coming up and will be gone for a week. Is there anything I can do in the mean time to help with this behavior? Thank you
