Here`s another great article:
I usually don’t post here, but I hope I can get some advice on how to fix this.
My 10-week old puppy has been really good with potty training from day one. She gives pretty clear signals when she needs to pee and on Tuesday she even went into the hallway and barked to let me know that she needed to go. Of course, we’ve had loads of accidents, but overall I have been happy with how it’s been going.
So, yesterday I left her with my brother while I went to class. He’s not so good at picking up her signals and I obviously expected there to be an accident or two. I don’t really want to go into the situation with my brother (he has looked after her before and it went great), but the point is; when I got home after class (I had been gone for maybe three hours), there were puddles of pee all over the floor and she had pooped in the corner.
And today she just keeps peeing inside and she barely gives me any signals. I feel like we’re back at square one with the potty training and naturally I’m frustrated.
So, I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get the potty training back on track? I know she’s only young still and maybe I’m overreacting.
