Here`s another great article:
Let me give some background information. My husband used to work night shifts so he was home all day with the puppy while I was with him at night. My husband recently switched to day shifts so now the dog goes into his crate (he is crate trained) from 8:30-11:00 and 12:00-3:00. I let him out and feed him lunch between 11 and 12.
He used to be very food motivated but now he doesn’t seem to want to eat. He eats 3 times a day and we were told to feed him 3 times a day until he is a year old. He used to chow it down as soon as we put it out and now he lets it sit there for a while, sometimes hours, before he eats it. He didn’t eat lunch today and I had to put him back in his crate because I had to go back to work.
I know this behavior is because of his schedule change. But what should I do? Just hope he gets used to it?
