Here`s another great article:
My puppy will sometimes only nap for 25 minutes, wake up and scratch the crate door to get out. He will low key… not so low key let me know he wants out by loudly stretching in there. If I ignore him he starts digging up his bed, biting the crate and barking.
Am I to keep him in there for 2 hours regardless of how little he sleeps? I’m worried leaving him in there biting the bars since I don’t want him wearing his teeth down or possibly getting stuck! So I end up waiting for a quiet moment, then letting him out. This is making it so I can’t get anything done. No time for myself and my house is getting very messy.
Sometimes he will sleep for 3 hours in there or as little as 15-25 minutes.
